A single, sturdy hand-painted piece — no assembly, no fuss. Set it on a desk or shelf and it holds its happy pose, ready to collect and show off.

If one lizard taught the world to love geckos, it is this one. The leopard gecko has been kept for generations for its gentle nature, its permanent smile, and a set of traits that quietly break the gecko rulebook.

The Gecko With Eyelids

Most geckos cannot blink; the leopard gecko can. It belongs to a group that kept their movable eyelids, giving it that sleepy, expressive, oddly friendly face — a gift to any figure-maker.

A Ground-Dweller, Not a Climber

Unlike its wall-walking cousins, the leopard gecko has simple clawed feet with no sticky pads. It is built for the rocky deserts of southwest Asia, not the glass of a tank.

A Tail Full of Groceries

That plump tail is a pantry: the gecko stores fat in it to survive lean times. A thick tail is the sign of a healthy, well-fed gecko — and this rounded figure wears one proudly.

Spotted Like Its Namesake

Adults develop the bold dark spots that give the species its name. Calm, hardy and endlessly patient, it remains the gecko the whole hobby started with.

“The little desert lizard that taught the world to love geckos.”
