A BELOVED FIRST REPTILE · hardy & docile
A Series of Laugh and Grow
Real animals, reimagined plump and cheerful — painted in lifelike detail, sculpted impossibly cute.
Chubby & Full of Character
Rounded, soft and undeniably cute — yet every scale, wrinkle and marking is hand-painted true to the real animal. The reaction it gets in person is always the same: so detailed, and so adorable.
Ready to Display
A single, sturdy hand-painted piece — no assembly, no fuss. Set it on a desk or shelf and it holds its happy pose, ready to collect and show off.
Few reptiles have a comeback story like the crested gecko. Declared extinct for much of the 20th century, it was rediscovered in 1994 and has since become one of the most beloved pet lizards on Earth — and one of the most naturally charming subjects for a plump, cheerful figure.
Eyelash Crests
Soft, spiny crests run from above each eye down the back, giving the species its name and a permanently expressive look. This ‘red cream’ coloring pairs warm rusty tones with pale cream, a favorite among keepers.
Back From Extinction
Thought lost to science for decades, the crested gecko was rediscovered on New Caledonia in 1994. From a single rediscovered population it became a global pet-trade star — a rare happy ending in the reptile world.
Sticky Toes, No Eyelids
Microscopic hairs on its toe pads let it walk up glass, while a total lack of eyelids means it keeps its eyes clean with a long, quick tongue — a habit that only adds to its charm.
The Tail It Never Gets Back
Unlike many lizards, a crested gecko that drops its tail never grows it back. Most wild adults are tailless — a badge of a life survived, faithfully sculpted here in full plump form.
