How to get Anime Expo badges

Anime Expo badges are sold online through ShowClix only. The official Help Center says 2027 registration opens in mid to late January 2027; the exact date hasn't been announced.

At the door: Only if any are left. Details

1Before the sale

  1. Create a ShowClix account. It's Anime Expo's only official seller, and confirmations from other sites aren't honored.
  2. Watch the official site for the 2027 registration date.

2Buying

  1. Buy a 4-Day or 1-Day General Attendee badge for ages 14 and up. Ages 6 to 13 need a 4-Day Child badge bought together with an adult badge (up to four per adult). Ages 0 to 5 are free.
  2. Register every badge to a different person under their legal name, matching a government photo ID.
  3. Bought a badge for a friend? Transfer it in ShowClix. It becomes theirs only after they accept it in their own ShowClix account.

3After you buy

  1. US and Canada orders placed before the early-June mailing cutoff are mailed. Other orders are picked up on-site with the QR confirmation and photo ID.
  2. Activate the badge in your ShowClix Anime Expo profile with the 8-digit code on the back. Transfer first, then activate.
  3. All sales are final, and resold badges aren't honored.

!Common mistakes

  • A friend never accepted the transfer, so the badge isn't registered to them.
  • Activating a badge before transferring it.
  • Trying to buy a Child badge on its own.
  • The name on the badge doesn't match the photo ID at pickup, or a minor picks up a badge without a parent or guardian.
  • Buying from a reseller.
