“Zelda’s Iconic Trio in Figma Form: Link, Ganondorf, Zelda!”

Max Factory's figma figures from 'Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom' bring iconic characters to life.

Max Factory to Release Highly Anticipated “Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” Figma Figures

Max Factory, a renowned Japanese model manufacturer, is set to captivate fans of the “Legend of Zelda” series with its latest figma figures from “Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.” The collection, featuring the iconic characters Link, Ganondorf, and Princess Zelda, promises to be a highlight in any Zelda enthusiast’s collection.

During the “Wonder Festival 2024 Winter,” held on the 11th of this month, Max Factory unveiled these eagerly awaited figures. “Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” continues the narrative of its predecessor, “Breath of the Wild,” where players embark on a new adventure following the defeat of Calamity Ganon. The game’s setting includes floating city walls, mysterious ruins descending from the skies, and dramatic changes across the land of Hyrule. Link is joined by a new generation of warriors, including Sidon, Riju, and Teba, and possesses new abilities like reversing gravity, material construction, and the ultimate hand technique, allowing players to explore islands in the sky, dark underground realms, and the transformed landscapes of Hyrule.

The “figma Link: Tears of the Kingdom Ver.” finally revealed its painted prototype at the exhibition. This figure faithfully replicates Link’s appearance, including his new hero’s outfit, the Master Sword, and the Hylian Shield. Notably, some details have changed since the last prototype display, such as adding the “Hylian Hood” part around the collar and modifying details like Lorule’s right arm and the torn sleeve cuff, which now appears in its intact form. These changes suggest that the final product may include interchangeable parts to recreate different looks.

The other key characters from the game, “figma Ganondorf: Tears of the Kingdom Ver.” and “figma Princess Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ver.,” are also confirmed for production in the figma series. Ganondorf’s figure, showcased for the first time as an unpainted prototype, features his muscular build and warrior-like attire, with multiple points of articulation to balance the wide range of movement and his flowing garments. Princess Zelda will be portrayed in her “Tears of the Kingdom” short hair look and ancient Zonai attire, although her prototype has yet to be revealed.

These figures, known for their precision and articulation, allow for dynamic poses, capturing the essence of each character. The figma series, with its signature articulation joints and 1/12 scale proportions, enables fans to bring the adventure of Link, Ganondorf, and Princess Zelda to life.

Fans eagerly await these detailed figures, and the figma collection is poised to be an exceptional addition to any “Legend of Zelda” collection. As anticipation builds, these figures will surely be treasured by both collectors and fans of the series.
