Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Duel Disk EasyCards Announced

The third wave of shaped Yu-Gi-Oh! EasyCards turns Yugi's two ace spellcasters and Kaiba's Duel Disk into palm-sized Taiwanese transit cards, each with its own acrylic magic-circle stand.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Duel Disk EasyCards Announced

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Immortal Classics Shaped EasyCard series is a set of three shaped transit cards from EasyCard Corporation and licensing brand Be come true, based on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. The designs are the Dark Magician’s staff, the Dark Magician Girl’s staff, and the Duel Disk. Limited-time pre-orders opened on April 1, 2026, through the Be come true official site and authorized retailers. The source announcement does not list a retail price.

The cards are officially licensed through ADK Emotions and Medialink. Each card ships with its own acrylic backdrop stand. A Dark Magician Set bundles the Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl cards together.

Third Wave, Better Casting

Last year’s two waves gave us the Millennium Items and the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and both sold out fast. This time the spotlight moves from Kaiba’s dragon to Yugi Muto’s own aces. That’s the right call. In a PTT fan poll, the two spellcasters reportedly beat Blue-Eyes, and anyone who watched Yugi pull off a master-and-apprentice combo to save a duel knows why.

Staffs Instead of Faces

The smartest decision here is restraint. Rather than squeezing a full character portrait onto a card body, the designers shaped each card around the magician’s staff, the one object that reads instantly at palm size. Dark Magician’s staff is the heavier, more regal silhouette, with that curled Egyptian crook profile echoing pharaonic scepters, which fits a monster tied to the Pharaoh’s past. Dark Magician Girl’s staff is lighter and rounder. Teacher and student, told in outline.

The Duel Disk Gets Its Moment

Seto Kaiba’s Duel Disk becomes a miniature dueling platform here, with the card zones flattened into relief graphics. On a flat transit card you don’t get true 3D volume, so the depth comes from layered printing and shading along the blade edge. It works. Tapping it at a station gate is about as close as most of us will get to shouting the classic ‘Draw!’ in public without consequences.

The Acrylic Stand Is the Real Upgrade

Previous waves were cards and nothing more. Now every design gets a clear acrylic backdrop printed with the dark magic circle pattern, so the card stands upright as a shelf piece instead of living in a wallet. The best comparison is Bandai’s Proplica line, which also treats Yu-Gi-Oh! props as display objects first. These are far smaller and flatter, of course. But the instinct is the same, and I like it.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This

The Collector Math: Dark Magician hits for 2500 and Dark Magician Girl hits for 2000, so the Dark Magician Set puts 4500 attack on the field in one order. Every duelist in Battle City starts with 4000 life points. My better judgment never even got to draw.

How to tell your wife: Yes, one of these is Dark Magician Girl, and she beat Blue-Eyes in a fan poll. But EasyCard shaped her card like her staff, with no face anywhere. Even the transit company respects our marriage.

How to tell your parents: You always wanted me to take an interest in ancient history. Dark Magician was the Pharaoh’s own sorcerer, and his staff is shaped like a royal Egyptian scepter. Name one museum artifact that also pays bus fare.

How to tell your kids: This is Kaiba’s Duel Disk, and in every duel you draw exactly one card per turn. Starting tonight, the cookie jar runs on Duel Disk rules: one cookie, then you end your turn. And Pot of Greed is banned here, just like real tournaments.

Final Word

Shaping these around the staffs rather than the characters’ faces is what lets a transit card read as a prop, and that choice alone puts this wave ahead of the Blue-Eyes card. If Yugi’s deck was your deck on the playground, the Dark Magician Set is the one to watch, and I’m curious whether the Duel Disk ends up being the sleeper hit of the three.
