Japanese toy and miscellaneous goods manufacturer T-ARTS (Kabushiki-gaisha Takara Tomy Arts) will release the latest product, “Where’s Wally?” also named “Where’s Waldo?” in its famous “MIIKKE! み〜いっけ!” series of capsule toys in January 2024.
“Where’s Wally?” is a children’s book published by British illustrator Martin Handford in 1987. The book does not have a specific storyline, and the main character, Wally, is always seen wearing a red-and-white striped shirt, a bobble hat, and round glasses while traveling around the world. Our task as readers is to find Wally in various crowded and fantastical scenes. To fully complete the mission in each world, not only do you have to find Wally, but you also have to find his dog Woof, Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, Odlaw, and various Wally-related items, making it a lot of fun.
The “MIIKKE! み〜いっけ! Where’s Wally?” series will bring these famous characters to life in a size of around 3 to 7 centimeters. In addition to faithfully reproducing their clothing styles, the design cleverly shows them as if they are poking their heads out, providing a great experience of 3D modeling while reading and playing. You can place them on the corner of your desk, next to a cabinet, or anywhere you want to enjoy a real-life version of “Where’s Wally” with your family and friends.
