AmiAmi and AMAKUNI’s Exquisite “Terrible Tornado – Tatsumaki” Model from “One Punch Man”
AmiAmi, a Japanese toy shopping website, in collaboration with HobbyJapan’s model brand AMAKUNI, is set to release a limited edition 1/7 scale model of “Terrible Tornado (Tornado of Terror) – Tatsumaki” from the popular anime “One Punch Man.” Priced at 24,750 JPY (approximately $183.15 USD), the model is scheduled for release in August 2024.
“One Punch Man,” created by the Japanese webcomic artist ONE, centers around superheroes battling supernatural beings known as “monsters.” The Hero Association recruits individuals from around the world to fight against these threats. Among them is the female character “Tatsumaki,” ranked S-class, position 2, in the Hero Association. Known for her youthful appearance, which belies her age, Tatsumaki is the older sister of B-class rank 1 hero “Blizzard of Hell.” She fights using her psychic powers, which can twist her opponents into tornadoes, earning her the nickname “Terrible Tornado.”
The AMAKUNI “Terrible Tornado” 1/7 scale model, standing approximately 26.5 cm (about 10.43 inches) tall, is crafted with transparent parts to create the illusion of Tatsumaki floating in mid-air using her psychic powers. Her cold and aloof facial expression is perfectly captured, and her signature green hair is painted with a transparent gradient effect, highlighting her captivating green eyes. Dressed in her iconic black slit dress, the model emphasizes her slender figure, graceful curves, and the lightness of her floating pose. The model also prominently displays her fair legs and shapely buttocks, adding to the overall dynamic and enchanting design.
This model can be displayed alongside the separately sold “Blizzard of Hell” for an enhanced collection experience.
