Star Ring Heavy Industries Drops the AAA Wunder Grail
Listen up, Evangelion fans! My jaw literally dropped when I saw this announcement. Star Ring Heavy Industries, a company known for specializing in Hard Surface Sci-Fi models like spaceships and vehicles, has just unveiled what might be the ultimate collectible for any serious fan of the *Rebuild of Evangelion* movies. We’re getting a fully finished model of the AAA Wunder from *Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time*.
This isn’t just some small desktop trinket; this thing is enormous. The “Ultra Scale AAA Wunder Completed Model Ver.” measures in at a whopping 103 cm (appx. 40.17 inch) long. Just imagine trying to fit that on your shelf without a divorce! It’s pure fire, and it’s built to capture every single detail from the anime. They even recreated the complex color schemes, light reflection, and shadows to give it that authentic, multi-layered look.
And let’s talk about the features because they went all out. The propulsion nozzles at the back have built-in LED light-up mechanisms with multiple modes, including a steady light and a breathing effect. Plus, key armaments like the railguns and radar systems are detachable thanks to embedded magnets. This level of detail makes it a truly premium piece.
For those who need a refresher on the lore, the AAA Wunder (officially “Autonomous Assault Ark Wunder”) is the gigantic battleship operated by the anti-NERV organization WILLE, led by Misato Katsuragi. It’s powered by the captured EVA Unit-01 and is a critical part of the final movie. The design itself is inspired by a hummingbird geoglyph and combines a whale skeleton with a double helix structure. It truly embodies the sci-fi spectacle of Evangelion, capable of gravity control, deploying AT fields, and firing an arsenal of high-tech weaponry.
As if the main ship wasn’t enough, this completed model version also comes with some sweet bonuses. You get small, pre-painted scale models of Evangelion Unit-02γ and Evangelion Unit-08β, a metal nameplate, and an engraved acrylic display stand featuring the AAA Wunder silhouette. It’s the full package!
I’m officially obsessed. As a hardcore collector, this is a grail item, but the price point is definitely for the dedicated fan. The preorder system is fully reservation-based, so if you want this beauty, you have to commit. I’m already calculating how many instant ramen packs I need to eat to afford this.
