Dreams announced MUGYUUUS for their Sonny Angel distribution slate, slated for release on May 14, 2025 at an official retail price of $39.00 each. The lineup introduces four distinct animal companions designed to bridge physical desk work and low-impact posture habits. This marks an interesting functional deviation for Dreams, best known among mini figure collectors for pocket-sized vinyl headgear.

MUGYUUUS is a series of compact, weighted lifestyle plush objects produced by Dreams under their zakka merchandise banner. The manufacturer scheduled official release availability starting May 14, 2025, pricing individual units at $39.00. The collection features four characters: Waffle the Beagle, Peanuts the Cat, Madeleine the Rabbit, and Pretzel the Panda.
Dense Proportions and Physical Weight
Each character measures approximately W88 x H75 x D76 mm. That sits just under three inches tall. Dreams builds the interior using a mix of polyester stuffing, internal ABS elements, and dense glass beads to bring each piece up to approximately 1 lb. A one-pound heft packed into a three-inch form creates a distinct, heavy-in-the-palm presence that standard plush pieces never achieve. Rather than resting light on a shelf, these squat firmly where placed.
Compared to boutique Japanese art plush makers who rely purely on hollow polyfill for squishy aesthetic volume, Dreams opted for gravity. The weighted center forces a tactile reaction. Squeezing Madeleine the Rabbit between your knees or holding Pretzel the Panda during a phone call keeps your hands busy. The small footprint means they fit right between a keyboard and monitor stand without demanding an acrylic riser.
The Character Roster and Finishing
The line presents four specific sculpt identities, each cataloged under individual SKU tags. Waffle represents the floppy-eared Beagle under item number W-VRT-42912. Peanuts covers the Cat under W-VRT-42913. Madeleine offers long-eared Rabbit styling under W-VRT-42914, while Pretzel provides the Panda color blocking under W-VRT-42915. Dreams ships each unit in a dedicated package measuring approximately W110 x H190 x D110 mm.
The textile exterior avoids unnecessary printed seams or harsh appliques. Instead, the tactile polyester shell works directly against the shifting weight of internal glass beads. The balance feels closer to a therapeutic beanbag than a flimsy display doll. It shows deliberate design thinking tailored specifically for sedentary collectors who want physical feedback at their desks.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: All four of them are named after snacks: Waffle, Peanuts, Madeleine and Pretzel. At $39 each, that’s a full snack drawer with zero calories that I’ll never finish. Nutritionally, this is the healthiest purchase I’ve ever made.
How to tell your wife: Each one weighs about a pound of glass beads, so technically I’m buying weights. You said I should start lifting. This is me starting.
How to tell your parents: They limit it to four per order, and there are exactly four of them. It would be rude to split up a family. You raised me better than that.
How to tell your kids: Mugyu is the sound you make when you squeeze something, so these four are for squeezing, not throwing. The panda is Pretzel, and Pretzel has seen things. Gentle hugs only.
At $39.00, MUGYUUUS proves that Dreams understands desk real estate better than most decor brands. If you spend eight hours a day typing, having Waffle or Pretzel ground your desktop space feels completely earned.
