It’s Ame from NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD, cut down to a pocket-sized chibi, and I’ll admit the price made me look twice in a good way.
The NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD – Chibi Figure Ame is a painted plastic, non-scale figure of the character Ame, approximately 75mm (appx. 2.95 in) tall, with a stand included. It is manufactured by Good Smile Arts Shanghai and sculpted by jinsk.
Why a Chibi Fits Ame
NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD is a psychological horror visual novel where you play the manager of Ame, a girl chasing the title of #1 “Internet Angel” as OMGkawaiiAngel. The game’s whole trick is the gap between the cute persona and the stress behind it. A chibi sculpt leans into the cute side on purpose, and I think that’s the right call, because the big-head, small-body format is the exact language Ame uses to sell herself on stream.
jinsk’s Sculpt at 75mm
At about 75mm, there’s no room for fussy detail, so the sculpt has to read from across a desk. That’s where jinsk’s job gets harder than it looks: the face carries almost all of the character, and every fold of hair or clothing has to be simplified without going generic. Good Smile Company’s own Nendoroid line is the obvious benchmark for this kind of compression, and I’m curious whether this Shanghai-made piece holds that same clean silhouette when it ships.
Paint and the Hand-Finished Factor
The listing notes the paintwork is done partially by hand, so final pieces may vary a little from one to the next. At this size, that matters most around the eyes, where a hair-width slip changes the whole expression. The images shown are sample prototypes, so I’d treat the current paint as a target rather than a promise, and we’ll update this when production shots surface.
