mofusand HIPPERS Mofusand: Vol. 2 Shrimp Meow Series Blind Box

Dreams sends seven mofusand cats out in fried shrimp and sweet shrimp costumes, ready to stick to your laptop with a peelable tape strip on each belly.

HIPPERS Mofusand: Vol. 2

HIPPERS Mofusand: Vol. 2 is the new mofusand blind box series from Dreams, the company behind Sonny Angel and SMISKI, and it went on sale on April 14, 2026. A single blind box costs $13.75, and a full box of 12 runs $165.00. This time every cat is dressed as shrimp, and I mean committed shrimp: battered, fried, curled-tail shrimp.

HIPPERS Mofusand: Vol. 2 (also called the Shrimp Meow Series) is a line of self-adhesive mini figures made by Dreams and based on the mofusand characters. It was released on April 14, 2026, at $13.75 per blind box or $165.00 for a box of 12. The series has 7 figures in total: 6 regular designs and 1 secret.

The Tape Strip Is the Whole Point

The detail I keep coming back to is boring on paper and clever in practice: each cat has a strip of removable adhesive tape on its belly, under a release paper you peel off. That one choice decides the entire sculpt. Since the belly has to sit flat against a laptop lid or a phone case, the cat can only peek out from the front, and all the personality gets pushed to the back, where the round bottom and tail are on display. It’s a figure designed from the mounting surface outward, and I think that’s why it works better than most stick-on toys that feel like a regular figure with glue slapped underneath.

Shrimp Costumes, Explained by Nobody

If you follow mofusand online, you already know the joke: cats in food costumes, delivered with total sincerity. Vol. 2 picks shrimp, and the lineup includes crispy fried shrimp and plump sweet shrimp versions. I like that a cat, an animal famous for wanting to eat shrimp, is now wearing one like a sleeping bag. That slightly surreal tone is exactly what mofusand fans show up for, and the costume tails sticking out the back give the rear view a second gag on top of the cat bottom.

Paint and Material Notes

The figures are made of ATBC-PVC, the same kind of soft vinyl you’ll find across the Dreams catalog. For a format this small, the paint job has one big job: make fried batter read as batter and sweet shrimp read as glossy and pink-orange, without crowding the tiny cat face. Compared with Dreams’ own Sonny Angel HIPPERS, which set the bar for this format, the mofusand version leans more on costume texture than on clean color blocks. I’m curious how the batter crumbs hold up on the regular designs versus the secret.

Buying Notes Before You Commit

The order limit is up to 6 blind boxes or up to 1 full box of 12, and the store says orders with duplicate accounts, names, addresses or phone numbers may be cancelled. One thing to know: the secret figure is distributed randomly and may not be in every assorted box, so a box of 12 isn’t a guaranteed full set. This series also isn’t included in the SA Point program. The first HIPPERS mofusand series came out in September 2024, so if you have those on your monitor already, Vol. 2 has a lineup waiting next to them.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This

The Collector Math: Even the heaviest HIPPER weighs 41 grams, so at $13.75 I’m paying about $150 a pound for shrimp. But fresh shrimp goes bad in two days, and this one is solid PVC with a cat inside. Per day of freshness, it’s the cheapest seafood I’ve ever bought.

How to tell your wife: There’s one secret cat in this series, and Dreams admits it might not even be in a full box of twelve. So every box I open isn’t shopping; it’s a search party. You’d never tell me to stop looking for a missing cat.

How to tell your parents: Mom, you always said I never stick with anything. The first HIPPERS came out in September 2024, I’m back for Volume 2, and every cat comes with its own adhesive strip. Your son finally sticks with things.

How to tell your kids: These seven cats wouldn’t finish their shrimp, so now they have to wear it. You can look at them, but no peeling them off the laptop; they’re still learning their lesson. Finish your dinner.

At $13.75, the belly tape strip and the shrimp-tail rear view give this series more design thought than its size suggests, and I think it earns a spot on your laptop lid if mofusand is already your thing. Just go in knowing that a box of 12 may still leave you hunting the secret.
