Pewter Is the Right Call for This Character
Most Surfer statues try to fake chrome with paint, and you can always tell up close. Here the figure and his board are cast in pewter with what Royal Selangor calls a royal finish, so the shine comes from the material. The closest benchmark I can think of is a Lladró porcelain piece, where the material does the work and paint stays out of the way. For a guy whose whole look is a living metal skin, that choice makes complete sense to me.
The Wormhole, the Purple and That Hand
The Surfer bursts out of a swirling cosmic wormhole with his board poised, and the base is finished in metallic purple to suggest energy bending through space. The detail I keep coming back to is the black hand of Galactus reaching through behind him. It turns a hero pose into a chase scene, and it nods to the Surfer’s origin as the herald who serves, and later defies, the planet eater. Contrast does a lot here, with the dark hand making the pewter look even brighter.
Size and Shelf Planning
The piece measures 10.25 inches (26 cm) tall, 11.6 inches (29 cm) wide and 7.5 inches (19 cm) deep, so it’s wider than it is tall. That width comes from the wormhole swirl, and it means you’ll want a shelf with real depth rather than a narrow ledge. I’d give it a spot of its own with a light from above, since a polished metal surface lives or dies by how light hits it. If you collect Fantastic Four or Galactus pieces, this is the one that ties them together, though I’d keep painted statues a little apart so the metal doesn’t fight the color.

Only 1,000 pieces exist worldwide, and the limit is one per person. The current window is January to March 2027, with a note that arrival dates are estimates and it may ship as late as June 2027.
