Look, I thought my collection was complete for a while, but Aniplex just had to go and drop this absolute bombshell. Honestly, as soon as I saw the first images of the new Marin Kitagawa (Winter Uniform Ver.), I knew my display cabinet was about to undergo a massive hierarchy shift. This isn’t just another addition to the shelf; this is the New King of the Shelf. I am already planning to clear out the prime C-position right in the center for her.

This 1/7 scale masterpiece is based on the second season of My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi o Suru). It captures our favorite cosplaying gal, Marin Kitagawa, in that iconic winter look from episode 19. Man, the sculptors really understood the assignment here. They’ve perfectly recreated that moment where she’s rocking her winter school uniform, complete with those legendary loose socks and her hair tied back in braids. It’s a complete 180 from her usual summer vibe, and I am 100% here for it.

What really sells this for me is the dynamic energy of the pose. She’s caught in a gorgeous look-back movement, and you can practically feel the wind catching her winter scarf and the pleats of her skirt. The detail on the scarf looks so cozy, and the way the uniform flows captures that exact feeling of Gojo-kun testing out his camera during their portrait session. I’ve already started looking at my other 1/7 scales and deciding who has to move to the back row, because the center stage belongs to her now.
