Well, here we are again, staring down another addition to the collection that somehow seems to defy all logic, yet feels utterly essential. This Nendoroid Rokudo Mukuro 2.0 is certainly making a strong case for breaking this month’s budget. It’s hard to resist a character who’s equally unsettling and endearing in chibi form.
Good Smile Company is set to release the Nendoroid Rokudo Mukuro 2.0, a new figure based on the character from Katekyo Hitman Reborn! This Nendoroid stands approximately 10 cm (3.9 inches) tall and carries a reference price of 6,800 JPY (approximately $43.8 USD). Expect this figure to launch in August 2026.
The Return of the Phantom Mist
Rokudo Mukuro’s complexity, born from human experimentation and a desire to dismantle the mafia, always made him a captivating figure. This 2.0 version of his Nendoroid captures his appearance from the Kokuyo Arc perfectly. Good Smile Company has done a fine job translating his distinct spiky hair and sharp outfit details into the cute Nendoroid scale. His iconic heterochromatic eyes are faithfully reproduced, a key detail that’s easy to overlook but crucial for character recognition.
Faces of Mischief and Battle
The sculpt offers three distinct face plates that really bring Mukuro’s persona to life. You’ll find a confident smile, a subtly scornful look, and a truly mocking expression. Each expression feels authentic, giving collectors the range to pose him in various scenarios, from menacing to playful. That’s a strong point for Nendoroids; they live and die by their expressive power, and Mukuro doesn’t disappoint here.
Tools of Illusion and Mayhem
Beyond the faces, Mukuro comes equipped with his signature trident, ready for some phantom combat. A clear illusion background sheet is also included, adding depth to dynamic poses. The real standout accessory is the special bangs piece that depicts his right eye flaring up with battle aura when he enters his Shura-do state. This little detail lets collectors recreate one of his most visually striking power-ups, making for some truly impactful display options.
A Special Pineapple, Indeed
For those who decide to pre-order directly through the Good Smile Company website, there’s an exclusive treat: a hand part specifically designed to hold a pineapple. This isn’t just a random accessory; it’s a direct nod to Mukuro’s infamous “pineapple head” nickname among fans. It’s exactly the kind of whimsical, character-specific bonus that makes official store exclusives worth pursuing, adding another layer of personality to the figure.
The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: Mukuro is a master illusionist, so for about $43.80 I’m getting a trident, three faces and an illusion background sheet. Technically, that background makes my shelf look bigger than it is. That’s interior design with Mist Flames.
How to tell your wife: He comes with a mocking face, a scornful face and a confident smile, which covers every reaction you’ll have when you see the box. I’ve pre-matched your mood for you. Kufufu.
How to tell your parents: Mukuro went through all six paths of reincarnation and still came back with great hair. You always said I should learn from experience. He has six lifetimes of it, and he’s only 10 centimeters tall.
How to tell your kids: This is Mukuro, and he’s an illusionist, so if you touch his trident you’ll think you didn’t, but he’ll know. Also, his hair is not a pineapple. Do not say it’s a pineapple.
This Nendoroid Rokudo Mukuro 2.0 feels like a significant upgrade, offering expressive faces and dynamic accessories that fans have waited for. The character’s unique charm, paired with the special pineapple hand, makes it a strong contender for any serious Katekyo Hitman Reborn! collection.
