HIPPERS CHiiKAWA is a new blind box series from Dreams, the company behind Sonny Angel and SMISKI, built around illustrator Nagano’s CHiiKAWA. It’s available now at $13.75 per blind box, or $165.00 for a full box of 12. I’ll admit the idea of a tiny Chiikawa clinging to the edge of my monitor got me before I finished reading the description.

HIPPERS CHiiKAWA is a set of self-adhesive PVC mini figures made by Dreams. The series has 7 designs, 6 regular and 1 secret, featuring Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, Momonga, Kurimanju and Shisa. It went on sale on November 7, 2025, priced at $13.75 per blind box or $165.00 for a box of 12.
The Pose Is the Whole Point
Every HIPPER is shaped like it’s hugging the thing you stick it to. The arms reach forward over the edge, and the tail pokes out behind. That suits Chiikawa’s cast really well, because these characters spend most of their lives clinging to each other through scary, everyday situations. The round bodies are a good match for Nagano’s soft, low-detail drawing style, and they don’t try to add detail the source art never had.
Size, Weight and Sticking Power
The figures run approx. W42–73 × H50–70 × D25–37 mm (appx. 1.7–2.9 × 2.0–2.8 × 1.0–1.5 in) and weigh approx. 21–41 g (appx. 0.7–1.4 oz). That means some characters are noticeably bulkier than others, which makes sense for a cast where Kurimanju and Usagi don’t share a silhouette. A strip of removable tape sits on each belly. Dreams notes that hold can weaken depending on the surface, and that a little water on the adhesive may bring it back, so I’d try it on a matte frame before trusting it on a glossy phone case.
How It Compares to the Sonny Angel Hippers
Dreams already runs this same clinging format with Sonny Angel, so the CHiiKAWA version comes from a maker that knows exactly how to angle the arms to grab a monitor bezel. The material is ATBC-PVC, the same family of soft vinyl you see in most mini figure lines at this price. What I like is the restraint in the paint: flat color fields, simple faces, no fussy gradients that would fight Nagano’s line work.
Shelf and Desk Planning
These aren’t meant for a glass cabinet. I’d put Hachiware on the corner of a monitor and Chiikawa on a photo frame right below, so it looks like the two are checking on each other the way they do in the strip. Usagi works best somewhere a little chaotic, like the TV. If you already have SMISKI glowing on a shelf, a HIPPER on the frame next to it makes a nice little Dreams corner. Keep in mind the secret figure isn’t guaranteed in every assorted box, and the order limit is 1 full box or up to 6 blind boxes.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: There are seven designs, and the store only lets me buy six blind boxes. Even the full box of 12 for $165 might not have the Secret, so the math says I can’t win. Hachiware says it’ll work out somehow; I trust the cat.
How to tell your wife: You said if I bring home one more figure, it had better be small and cute. Chiikawa’s name is literally short for ‘something small and cute,’ and he sticks to my laptop instead of taking up a shelf. Technically, you picked this one.
How to tell your parents: Mom, you always said I sit way too close to the screen. Now Chiikawa clings to the front of my monitor, so I have to sit back just to see around him. You finally won, and it only cost $13.75.
How to tell your kids: Nobody pulls Chiikawa off the TV, because he cries at basically everything. The box says that when a HIPPER loses its grip, a little water makes it stick again. Pull on him and he’ll just cry himself back on.
At $13.75, HIPPERS CHiiKAWA is one of the easier ways to get Nagano’s characters onto your actual daily stuff instead of a back shelf, and the clinging arms are just right for a cast that’s always hanging onto each other. I’m watching how strong the tape holds on glossy surfaces, but as a desk companion it earns its spot.
