Hiya Toys has officially revealed the Megaguirus Action Figure by Hiya Toys under their EXQUISITE BASIC Series for the Godzilla franchise. This prehistoric flying kaiju is priced at $108.00 and is slated to ship between October 2027 and December 2027. It gives fans of the Millennium era a dedicated, articulated centerpiece built to face off against any King of the Monsters on your shelf.

The Megaguirus Action Figure by Hiya Toys is an articulated kaiju collectible produced by Hiya Toys based on the 2000 film Godzilla vs. Megaguirus. Scheduled to ship between October 2027 and December 2027, the figure retails for $108.00.

Insectoid Sculpting and Chitin Armor

Translating an overgrown dragonfly queen into three dimensions requires crisp surface geometry, and Hiya Toys leaned hard into the angular shell plating. The figure spans 24.5 cm from the spikes on its head down to the stinger tip, framed by sharply sculpted armor-like surfaces and layered serrations running down each segment. Rather than smoothing out the insectoid carapace, the mold captures prominent compound eyes and intricate ribbed textures across the thorax. The sculpt avoids the gummy softness you sometimes encounter on legacy monster releases, holding rigid edges along the mandibles and thoracic spikes that rival the fidelity of premium Bandai S.H.MonsterArts releases.

Wing Textures and Gradient Finishes

Along the underbelly, vivid red abdominal detailing breaks up the dark insect exoskeleton, matching the predator’s aggressive look from the battle over Odaiba. Both the wings and limbs feature dedicated articulation points, letting you angle each wing plane independently rather than locking the bug into a static flat glide. The multi-jointed body allows the torso and tail to curve into dynamic airborne dives, with the included display stand taking the weight off the joints so you can simulate high-altitude charges.

The EXQUISITE BASIC Engineering

Balancing wide wingspans on ball pegs can be tricky, but Hiya Toys engineered the internal joints using rigid ABS plastic alongside pliable PVC skin elements. Multiple body joints run through the spine to support aggressive flight arcs without instantly drooping under the weight of the appendages. Having a dedicated flight base included right in the box solves the classic kaiju problem of how to display an aerial predator without resting its delicate legs on flat glass. It gives you room to stage steep banking turns or predatory mid-air hovering without buying aftermarket acrylic poles.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This

The Collector Math: Hiya Toys charges exactly $108 for this prehistoric queen of the Meganula swarm. Since she commands thousands of smaller insects to steal energy for her, we are technically paying fractions of a penny per loyal drone. You simply cannot find cheaper labor anywhere.

How to tell your wife: Sideshow is shipping this 9.64-inch prehistoric dragonfly to our house in October 2027. I secured the preorder today because leaving a mutated energy-draining insect near an open singularity is wildly irresponsible. She takes the top living room shelf.

How to tell your parents: You always raised me to respect the value of sustainable energy and efficient resource management. Megaguirus famously survived a black hole and powered her swarm by directly siphoning Godzilla’s atomic energy with her tail. I am simply studying alternative nuclear power solutions.

How to tell your kids: This prehistoric queen survived an artificial black hole just to steal radioactive power from the King of the Monsters. You may admire her 9.64-inch wingspan, but you absolutely cannot touch her stinger. A single sting will permanently drain your tablet battery.

If you have been waiting decades for an accurate, articulated Millennium antagonist that does not break the bank, this queen claims her airspace cleanly. Between the brown-gold wing gradients and the included aerial stand, it earns its wide footprint on any Godzilla shelf.
