When we talk about characters that truly resonate, Yubel from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End stands out with a magnetism few can deny. Good Smile Company’s upcoming POP UP PARADE Yubel promises to encapsulate that unique charm in a collectible format. It’s always exciting to see how these nuanced personalities translate to static displays.
This is the POP UP PARADE Yubel, a non-scale PVC pre-painted figure from Good Smile Company. It measures approximately 17 cm (6.7 inches) tall and costs 5,500 JPY (approximately $35.50 USD). Collectors can expect its release in September 2026.
Capturing the Unconventional Mage
Yubel isn’t your typical spellcaster. Her languid gaze and slight, knowing smile convey that distinctive blend of danger and nonchalance we’ve come to expect. This figure truly understands her chaotic energy, hinting at the power of her “magic that can cut almost anything” without overt action poses. It’s a subtle yet potent representation of her unpredictable nature, perfectly frozen in PVC.
Precision in Poise and Paint
Sculptor くろさわつ (Acxyz Creativ) certainly nailed the expressive nuances of Yubel’s face, from those characteristic drooping eyes to the curve of her lips. The paint master, 谷本裕人, brings out the subtle shading in her dark green side ponytail and the intricate folds of her uniform. It’s a cohesive effort, ensuring every contour and color choice contributes to her overall self-contained allure. Even the finer details on her magic staff are impressively sharp.
The POP UP PARADE Promise
Good Smile Company’s POP UP PARADE line is renowned for making beloved characters accessible without completely sacrificing quality. This Yubel maintains that standard, offering a commendable rendition at a very fair price point. It’s always a fine balance between production cost and intricate character interpretation, something they consistently achieve here. Sometimes, simple elegance is all you need for an impactful display.
A Welcome Addition to the Frieren Lineup
The roster of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End figures has steadily grown, but Yubel’s inclusion feels particularly significant. She’s a character whose presence deeply impacts the narrative with her unique philosophy and formidable abilities. This POP UP PARADE offering fills a notable gap, allowing collectors to finally add her distinct energy to their shelves. It’s a strong statement from Good Smile Company.
The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: Yubel can cut anything she can imagine cutting, and right now I’m imagining cutting this $35.50 into my monthly budget. She’d say it’s already done. She’s a better accountant than my bank.
How to tell your wife: Yubel’s magic cuts anything she believes she can cut, so with her on the shelf, I’m officially in charge of cutting coupons. She’s 17 centimeters of savings potential. Think of the grocery bill.
How to tell your parents: Yubel passed the First-Class Mage exam by being completely, terrifyingly confident. You always told me to believe in myself. She’s a 17-centimeter reminder that I listened.
How to tell your kids: This is Yubel, and she can cut anything she imagines, so she’s in charge of who gets the bigger slice of cake. Argue with her and the slice gets smaller. She smiles the whole time.
This POP UP PARADE Yubel isn’t trying to be a museum piece, but it successfully bottles the character’s enigmatic allure into a compact display. For anyone drawn to her dangerous charm and understated power, this figure delivers a strong enough impression to earn its spot.
