FLARE has re-released the highly acclaimed “Rei Ayanami RENEWAL” figure, designed by renowned illustrator Shunya Yamashita and top sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshizawa. This renewed PVC figure features Ayanami in a newly created pilot suit, showcasing intricate detailing and premium paintwork. Unlike the 2007 version, the RENEWAL edition has been fully revamped, using molds from the limited EVANGELION STORE GK kit, ensuring the highest quality finish. Standing approximately 25 cm tall, the figure perfectly captures Rei’s delicate features, highlighted by Yoshizawa’s sophisticated color application.
The redesigned outfit enhances the figure’s sensuality, accentuating the body’s curves and incorporating bold elements like exposed skin around the chest and hip areas. Although the figure doesn’t include an alternate head sculpt without bandages, the dynamic wrap-around design adds motion to the overall look.
For collectors, an exclusive illustration card by Yamashita will be available through the EVANGELION STORE. This edition will be released in August 2025.
