Bandai’s “Ultimate Truth” Series Launches with “Kamen Rider FAIZ/Wolf Orphnoch” Figure

Bandai’s GASHAPON brand has announced the release of its new series of models, “Ultimate Truth,” themed around the “Kamen Rider” series. The first product from this line is the “Kamen Rider FAIZ/Wolf Orphnoch” from “Kamen Rider 555,” set for release in September 2024.

The “Ultimate Truth” series is based on the concept of ‘good and evil originating from the same source,’ a recurring theme in the “Kamen Rider” series. This concept, originating from creator Shotaro Ishinomori’s works, often depicts heroes as monsters, like many of the Showa-era Kamen Riders who were transformed humans, choosing the path of justice despite sharing physical similarities with monsters. This concept evolved in the Heisei and Reiwa eras to suggest that Kamen Riders wield the same power sources as the monsters they fight, highlighting the duality of good and evil within the same force.

The “Kamen Rider FAIZ/Wolf Orphnoch” figure represents the dual identity of the protagonist, Inui Takumi. One half depicts his accidental transformation into the Wolf Orphnoch as a child. In contrast, the other half showcases his chosen hero identity as Kamen Rider FAIZ, fighting against his monster nature. Standing approximately 150 mm (about 5.91 inches) tall, the model is a 1/12 scale representation meticulously crafted with fine detailing and coloration. It features the two forms’ distinct features and includes a luxurious display base with a gold logo.
