Sideshow Collectibles has opened pre-orders for The Briarwoods – Vox Machina Statue, a two-character polystone piece from the Critical Role collection. It’s priced at $350 and expected to ship between August and November 2027. I’ll say it up front: I’ve been hoping someone would give the Briarwoods a proper villain moment, and this one goes straight for the throat.
The Briarwoods – Vox Machina Statue is a polystone statue of Sylas and Delilah Briarwood from Critical Role, made by Sideshow Collectibles. It measures 15.5 inches (39 cm) tall, 9.51 inches (24 cm) wide and 10.7 inches (27 cm) deep. It costs $350, carries a limit of 6 per person, and is expected to ship from August 2027 to November 2027.
A Couple Who Planned a Coup Together
Any Vox Machina fan knows the Briarwoods as the usurpers who took Whitestone from the de Rolo family, which is why Percy’s whole arc has their names written on it. Sideshow poses them standing hand in hand, and I love that choice, because their devotion to each other is the scariest thing about them. Delilah’s “I broke the world for us” line sums it up better than I could. Putting them shoulder to shoulder instead of mid-battle tells you these two think they’ve already won.

Gold Accents, Red Jewels and a Very Hungry Sword
The costume work leans into their fake nobility: finely detailed clothes with gold accents, satiny metallic colors and red jewels. Sylas wears a fur stole on one shoulder and carries Craven Edge on the other, the cursed blade whose hunger matches his own. The detail I keep coming back to is his vampiric skin tone against those red eyes, since pale skin is easy to paint flat and lifeless in a way that isn’t the good kind. If the production paint holds the contrast the prototype shows, it should read clearly from across a room.
Delilah’s Green Glow
Delilah is the active half of this composition, raising a skull with her noxious green necromancy while Sylas mostly looms. Her scheming expression and neatly manicured hands are small touches, but they’re exactly what sells her as the brains of the operation. Translucent magic effects are where high-end polystone either shines or looks like craft-store resin, and Prime 1 Studio has set a high bar for that kind of glow. I’m curious whether Sideshow’s green matches the richness in the photos, since the item shown is a prototype and the final piece may differ.

The Base and the Open Questions
They stand on a black hexagonal faux-stone base engraved with the Vox Machina team monogram, which ties nicely into Sideshow’s other Critical Role pieces like Percival de Rolo III. That pairing is honestly the best reason to display this, since Percy staring across a shelf at these two writes its own story. My open questions: the edition size is still listed as not yet announced, and Sideshow notes items may ship through February 2028. We’ll update this when the edition size is confirmed.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: Sylas Briarwood is a vampire, which means he sticks around forever. Divide $350 by forever and you get zero dollars a year. Mathematically, this is the first free thing I’ve bought.
How to tell your wife: Everyone who watched Vox Machina knows Delilah made every big decision, and Sylas just went along looking dramatic. Sideshow put the two of them on one statue for $350. Finally, an accurate couple’s portrait of us.
How to tell your parents: Mom, you always told me to start my holiday shopping early. This statue is from Sideshow’s Winter’s Crest at Whitestone collection, and it’s expected to ship by November 2027, thirteen months from now. Nobody in this family has ever been this organized.
How to tell your kids: This is Sylas Briarwood, and he’s a vampire, so he can’t enter any room until someone invites him in. That’s why everybody in this house knocks before opening a bedroom door. Don’t be ruder than a vampire.

For Critical Role fans who already have Percy on the shelf, the Briarwoods earn their spot as the villains he was always meant to face, and the hand-in-hand pose gives the piece a creepy tenderness that most villain statues skip. I’d just keep an eye on the final green magic effect and the edition size before committing $350.
