Memberships (badges) are sold online first-come on dragoncon.org; only the 5-day membership is sold in advance, with set price increases through the year, and limited single-day memberships go on sale August 1. - At the door

No walk-up sales desk is described: during the show, multi-day combinations other than the 5-day are sold online on the days they apply to, so you buy on your phone and then pick up the badge at Badge Pick Up in the Courtland Grand Hotel (Georgia Ballroom) with photo ID and your emailed QR code. The 5-day is the only multi-day membership sold in advance, and a limited number of single-day memberships go on sale Aug 1, 2027.Single-day prices not announced yet (TBA); a $7 processing fee applies to every membership. - Kids
- Children under seven attend free (policies: children 6 or younger don't need a badge; optional wristband at Registration). No childcare; under-16s must keep a parent/guardian nearby at all times.

How to get Dragon Con memberships
Dragon Con sells memberships (badges) online, first come first served. Only the 5-day membership is sold in advance, and its price goes up on set dates through the year.

1Before you buy
- Decide between the 5-day membership and a single day. Single-day memberships are limited and go on sale Aug 1, 2027 at 10 AM ET.
- Book your hotel separately. The 2027 host hotel blocks opened in October 2026, and the official site says they typically sell out very quickly. Mention Dragon Con when you call.
2Buying
- Buy the 5-day membership at dragoncon.org. The price went up to $125 on Sept 22, 2026, with more increases on Dec 19, 2026, Mar 20, 2027 and Jun 19, 2027. A $7 processing fee applies.
- The old price runs until midnight before each increase.
3After you buy
- Badges are never mailed. Pick yours up at the Courtland Grand Hotel with photo ID and the QR-code email.
- Daily badges can only be picked up on the day they're valid, and minors must be there for pickup.
- Memberships are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
!Common mistakes
- Waiting for a single-day badge, which is limited.
- Expecting the badge in the mail.
- Losing the QR-code email. Contact the Dragon Con office ahead of time for a copy.
- Picking up for a friend without their permission letter, a copy of their photo ID and their QR code.
- Buying a resold membership.

Good to know
- Under 18
- Children 6 or younger don't need a badge; under-16s must keep a parent or guardian nearby at all times; those old enough to have a driver's license may roam alone; under-21 alcohol possession = expulsion without refund.
- Badge pickup
- Courtland Grand Hotel, Georgia Ballroom. FAQ hours: Thu 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; Fri 8 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sat & Sun 8 a.m.-9 p.m.; Mon 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Bring photo ID + email receipt with QR code. Eternal members use a separate line at VIP Badge pickup.
- Props & costumes
- No weapons policy enforced; props must be non-working and peace bonded; no functioning projectile weapons (incl. water pistols, silly-string guns, ping-pong pistols); no real firearms even with a Georgia carry license; bladed props cased or sheathed at all times.
- Hotels
- All host hotels require a 4-night minimum (Westin: must include Thu-Sun nights). Hyatt and Hilton keep legacy blocks (currently full, no waitlist); Courtland Grand offers next-year rooms to prior-year guests first.
