Animal Crossing Ichiban Kuji Welcome Back Happy Memories

It’s been a minute since many of us last booted up our Switch to visit our islands. Bandai Spirits, however, clearly remembers the appeal, now teasing a new Ichiban Kuji set that feels less like a new release and more like a gentle invitation home.

This is the Ichiban Kuji Animal Crossing: Welcome Back! Happy Memories collection from Bandai Spirits, celebrating the enduring charm of the Animal Crossing series. Priced at 790 Japanese Yen (approximately $5.10 USD) per draw, this collection is set to arrive in April of 2026. It reintroduces beloved characters and useful, decorative items, making it a thoughtful re-engagement for fans.

The Curated Comfort of Tom Nook’s Enterprise

Many of us have grown accustomed to the idea of a character-themed lottery often leaning heavily on plush toys. This collection, however, thoughtfully integrates key elements from the game’s core loop into functional home decor. The Timmy & Tommy Tissue Box (A Prize, 25cm or appx. 9.8 inches) isn’t just a cute piece; it’s a constant, visible reminder of Nook’s Cranny, positioned right where you’ll actually use it. The detailing on their little faces brings a subtle, knowing smirk to any room, acknowledging the transactional heart of island life.

The Subtle Humor in Everyday Objects

The Nook Stop ATM Piggy Bank (with sound) (B Prize, 14cm or appx. 5.5 inches) delivers on a particular kind of collector humor: utility that’s almost *too* on-brand. The idea of saving real money in a replica of the Nook Stop ATM, complete with game sounds, taps into that meta-narrative of debt and savings that underpins Animal Crossing. It’s a clever piece, a physical joke that continues to land every time you drop in a coin.

Recycled Delights with a Fresh Spin

Bandai Spirits isn’t shy about leveraging past successes, and this collection smartly re-packages some fan favorites from previous Ichiban Kuji runs. You’ll see familiar prize categories like the Kawaii Mugs (C Prize, 9cm or appx. 3.5 inches) and the Shovel Spoons (D Prize, 11cm or appx. 4.3 inches), now adorned with fresh designs. This approach ensures that even returning players who already have a few previous items still find something new to chase, like the crisp new artwork on the small plates or zipper pouches.

The True Allure of the Last Prize

The Relaxing Desktop Clock (Last Prize, 15cm or appx. 5.9 inches) has the potential to be truly special. A clock that plays Animal Crossing BGM? That’s not just an object; it’s an atmospheric device, capable of transforming a mundane desk into a pocket of island serenity. It captures the game’s core essence, providing that gentle, ever-present comfort we seek from our virtual escape, a perfect way to infuse daily life with a little more zen.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This

The Collector Math: In Animal Crossing I played a turnip market that would make Wall Street nervous. Here, every draw is a fixed 790 yen, about $5.10, with no Daisy Mae and no rotting vegetables. That’s the most stable market I’ve ever played.

How to tell your wife: Every single Ichiban Kuji ticket wins a prize, so it’s the only lottery in the world with no losers. I’m not gambling; I’m collecting guaranteed prizes. Statistically, this is safer than me going to the grocery store.

How to tell your parents: You always told me to stop playing video games and go outside. Now the video game comes to me as a 25-centimeter tissue box. Clearly the island moved, not me.

How to tell your kids: This piggy bank is the Nook Stop ATM, and it makes a sound every time you feed it. If it hears you begging for a new toy, it will make that sound at you. Save your bells, little resident.

This Ichiban Kuji set, with its thoughtful blend of utility and charm, doesn’t just re-release items; it thoughtfully re-invites players into the comforting rhythm of island life. The potential for a delightful surprise, especially with the music-playing desktop clock, makes each draw a small, calculated gamble worth taking.
