These are prototype photos, though, and I want to see how evenly the light spreads before I fully sign off.
The Airbag Gets the Hydro Dip
The back airbag uses water-transfer printing, the process where a printed film floats on water and wraps itself around a curved part. That’s a smart call on a figure this size, because the airbag is one big rounded surface and a flat decal would wrinkle or fight the curve. Medicom Toy’s BE@RBRICK 1000% line set the standard for this scale with bold graphics on giant flat panels; Pop Mart is going for something more sculptural, and the printed back is where I’ll be judging whether the finish holds up close.
Posing, Proof and Paperwork
Pop Mart lists adjustable parts and accessories for different display options, though the exact pieces haven’t been broken out yet. There’s also NFC authentication: hold your phone near the back of the left leg and it walks you through confirming the figure is genuine.
