The Sonny Angel Cat Christmas Series from Dreams launches worldwide on Friday, November 13, 2026, putting the little angel boy in cat costumes, Santa hats and scarves. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, so I’ll stick to what’s confirmed and give you my honest read on the designs. It’s a holiday follow-up to a cat lineup a lot of you already love, and I think the tails alone justify the hype.

The Sonny Angel Cat Christmas Series is a blind box figure series made by Dreams for the Sonny Angel brand. It has six regular figures and two secret figures, for eight designs in total, and an assortment box contains six figures. Release is Friday, November 13, 2026, release dates may vary by country, and the price is not yet announced.
The Cat Life Series Comes Back for the Holidays
Dreams first introduced the Sonny Angel Cat Life Series in 2023, and this is its Christmas edition. The costumes pull from Santa Claus and reindeer, plus a couple I didn’t expect: one inspired by a Christmas tree and one inspired by gingerbread. I like that Dreams kept the cat hood as the base and layered the holiday stuff on top, instead of swapping cats for elves halfway through the idea.
Turn Them Around: The Tails Are the Real Sculpt
The detail I keep coming back to is the back view. Each figure gets a tail shaped for its kind of cat: slender ones curled into little loops, striped ones and fluffy, bushy ones. Most mini figures save all their effort for the face, so giving the rear a reason to exist is a quietly smart choice for something that’ll sit on a desk and get picked up and turned around. It’s the kind of back-of-figure attention I usually associate with a pricier Good Smile Nendoroid sculpt team, showing up on a palm-size blind box.
Pearl Pink Instead of Fire-Engine Red
The palette leans warm and pinkish rather than the usual hard Christmas red and green, which fits the Sonny Angel look far better. Sonny Angel and Robby Angel each wear a pearl-pink ribbon around the neck and peek out of a Christmas stocking, posed like two cats messing around together. That stocking pair is the one I’d hunt first, because it tells a tiny story instead of just wearing a costume.
Blind Box Math You Should Know Going In
An assortment box holds six figures, but Dreams is upfront that a box doesn’t guarantee every design, and duplicates can show up. The two secrets are rarer than the regular six, so plan on trading if you want all eight. With more than 650 kinds of Sonny Angel figures out there already, I’d pick the cats you actually like rather than chase the full set on day one.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: The box warns that duplicates may be included, but every figure in this series is a cat. Cats have nine lives, so a second one isn’t a duplicate; it’s the same cat on its next life. Technically, it’s not a duplicate until number ten.
How to tell your wife: Babe, these are blind boxes, so I don’t get to choose which cat in a Santa hat comes home with me. That’s not shopping; that’s adopting from a shelter. Nobody says no to a shelter cat at Christmas.
How to tell your parents: Mom, you always told me superstition is nonsense. Sonny Angel is launching a box full of cats on Friday the 13th, and I’ll be at the store that morning. That’s how you know you raised me right.
How to tell your kids: This is Sonny Angel dressed as a cat for Christmas, and that Santa hat means he works for Santa now. Angels watch over you, and cats can see in the dark. Sneak out of bed and you’re on the naughty list.
For me, the looped and bushy tails plus that pearl-pink stocking pair make this one of the more thoughtful holiday Sonny Angel drops, not just a hat slapped on an old mold. I’m watching for the price announcement, and we’ll update this when local release dates firm up.
