BANDAI SPIRITS’ Tamashii Nations has opened preorders for ONE PIECE カードゲーム -ドン!!カード-【2次：2027年6月発送分】 (ONE PIECE Card Game DON!! Card, second run shipping June 2027), a special edition of its LUFFY’s collectible from the One Piece franchise. It’s priced at ¥1,650 (appx. $11 USD) including tax, with shipping and fees extra, and it’s scheduled to ship in June 2027. I’ll admit I didn’t expect a card game anniversary piece to be this clever about one tiny detail.

The ONE PIECE Card Game DON!! Card LUFFY’s is a 1/20 scale ABS collectible from BANDAI SPIRITS (Tamashii Nations), sold with a holo special design DON!! card. It marks the ONE PIECE Card Game event “Flame-Flame Fruit Battle” and ships in June 2027 for ¥1,650 (appx. $11 USD), tax included in Japan.
A Body Shaped Like a Logo
The LUFFY’s body wasn’t sculpted from Luffy’s face or his straw hat. Its form was worked out from the shape of the ONE PIECE logo, and its 1/20 scale comes from Luffy’s own height. That’s a designer’s move, not a toy company’s, and it reminds me of how Medicom’s BE@RBRICK turned one fixed silhouette into a canvas: the shape stays put while the surface tells the story.
The Front Panel Is the Real Story
Here’s the detail I keep coming back to. The front of the body is designed after the DON!! card from the ONE PIECE Card Game, the card players attach to power up their leader. So the figure is literally wearing the game’s energy source on its chest, which is a smart nod for anyone who’s spent a weekend shuffling decks at a local shop.
Then They Hand You the Actual Card
This edition adds a special design DON!! card with a holo finish and original LUFFY’s artwork. The pairing is what sells it for me: the card on the body is the idea, and the holo card in the box is the playable proof. One heads-up for import buyers, since the card’s language changes depending on the sales region.
Why ABS Makes Sense Here
ABS is the right call for a piece built around clean planes and a printed front. It holds crisp edges and a flat graphic far better than soft vinyl would, and it suits the product’s pitch as something that records the adventure you share with One Piece over the years. I’d rather see a sharp, simple object than a mushy one trying to be a statue.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: Luffy spent two years training with Rayleigh just to get stronger. In the card game, one DON!! card adds 1,000 power, and this one’s ¥1,650, so that’s ¥1.65 a point. I’m doing the timeskip in one click.
How to tell your wife: In the One Piece card game, a DON!! card gives whoever it’s attached to 1,000 extra power. I’m attaching this one to you, so technically it’s your present. Careful, that pillow now hits a thousand harder.
How to tell your parents: Mom, Luffy has a three-billion-berry bounty and still can’t pay for his own meat. I paid ¥1,650 up front and earned 16 Tamashii miles back. You raised someone better with money than the next Pirate King.
How to tell your kids: This is a DON!!, and the official card game rule says a DON!! turned sideways is rested until your next turn. Look all you want, but whoever tips it sideways gets rested too. That means bed, and your next turn is breakfast.
The holo DON!! card riding along with a body built from the DON!! card’s own design is the reason this earns a spot, especially next to a card game binder. If you play the game or followed the Flame-Flame Fruit event, I think it’s a smart, low-cost keepsake, and we’ll update this if other regions confirm details.
