A Hard Face on a Soft Body
The smartest call here is the PVC face. Skullpanda’s whole appeal has always been that cool, slightly haunted stare, and a fully stitched face would’ve sanded that right off. Keeping the face in PVC means the paint can stay crisp where it counts, while the polyester body does the cuddly part. It’s the same split you’d see on a high-end doll with a vinyl head and a cloth body, just with more eyeliner energy.

How It Stacks Up
At 30 cm (appx. 11.81 in) and USD 100, this sits in collector-plush territory rather than claw-machine territory. Steiff has spent generations proving that a plush can be a shelf piece if the construction earns it, and Pop Mart is clearly aiming at that idea with posable internals and a sculpted face. Steiff sells heritage; this one sells attitude, and the PVC face is what keeps it from blending into every other bear on the shelf. We’ll update this if Pop Mart shares more on finish or packaging.
