That’s why the kit includes a hand of glory next to the expected pistol and holster. It’s a deep-cut accessory, and I love that they went for it instead of padding the box with extra guns.
That Coat Carries the Figure
The softgoods coat has wire sewn into it for posing, and in the photos it hangs heavy and flares where you’d want it to flare. Mignola draws Hellboy’s trench coat as a big slab of shadow, so cloth makes more sense here than a plastic shell that’d fight the articulation. The stitching looks tidy at the cuffs and collar in the promo images, and it reminds me of Mezco’s One:12 Collective tailoring, which is a high bar at this size. I’ll reserve judgment on how the wire holds up until real reviews land, since all I’ve seen are prototype shots.
Two Extra Heads, Two Different Hellboys
The bundle comes with the companion accessory pack, which adds a horned head and an angry, grimacing head. That horned head matters, because fans know Hellboy normally files his horns down to stumps, so seeing them full-length signals something has gone very wrong. The grimacing head gets that clenched, square-jawed scowl Mignola draws so well. Paint on the faces in the photos stays flat and graphic rather than airbrushed, and I think that’s exactly the right call for a character drawn with solid black shadows.
Hands, Fists and Posing
You get alternate hands plus a closed right fist, and that right hand is the one fans care about. A clenched Right Hand of Doom paired with the grimacing head is basically the cover pose of half the comics. The listing promises extensive articulation, and the stylized 1/12 sculpt keeps Hellboy’s chunky proportions without making him look like a block. For $80 with two heads and a full cloth coat, I think the bundle pricing is fair for what’s in the box.
