Hot Toys opens pre-orders for the Kamen Rider W (Special Edition) Sixth Scale Figure by Hot Toys, marking a massive entry in their Television Masterpiece Series for the Kamen Rider franchise. The figure costs $285 and is slated to ship between July 2027 and December 2027, with estimates extending through March 2028. You get the half-green, half-black detective duo in all their tokusatsu glory.
The Kamen Rider W (Special Edition) Sixth Scale Figure is manufactured by Hot Toys under license from Ishimori Production and Toei Company. Standing 12.2 inches (31 cm) tall, this sixth-scale release costs $285 and is scheduled to ship from July 2027 to December 2027. The release features magnetic-activated LED helmet eyes, articulated fabric elements, and an exclusive translucent effect piece.
Two Minds, One Armored Tailoring Job
Hot Toys did not simply sew two different colored fabrics down the spine and call it a day. The Cyclone Joker split suit uses an epoxy-coated screen-printed Gaiarmor undersuit, providing a distinct surface sheen beneath the hard armor plates. The emerald-green Cyclone side carries a metallic luster that clashes sharply against the matte, predatory black of the Joker half. You can pick between a sculpted dynamic scarf caught in a gust or an alternate fabric scarf with embedded wire to pose the Fuuto wind yourself.
Magnetic Eyes and the Gaia Memory Arsenal
The Double Mask helmet houses a magnetic-activated red LED lighting system with four distinct modes. These settings replicate the telepathic link between Shotaro Hidari and Philip without requiring clumsy external switches. They even threw in the Doubledriver storage box, an alternate inactive buckle, the Stag Phone with its own tiny memory, and Akiko Narumi’s green slipper printed with “Count up your sins!”
The Special Edition Swirl
Choosing the Special Edition secures the translucent green and purple wind effect accessory. The dual-colored swirl wraps around the 30 points of articulation to recreate W’s signature whirlwind finishers. Hot Toys matches the clean plastic tolerances seen on high-end Medicom Real Action Heroes lines while delivering superior internal joint stability.

The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: Kamen Rider W is two detectives sharing one body, which means I am technically buying two complete heroes for $285. That works out to only $142.50 per detective, plus they include six different Gaia Memories to share between them. It is practically a two-for-one wholesale purchase.
How to tell your wife: This 12.2-inch detective famously consists of two grown men who figured out how to peacefully share a single outfit. Because they are setting such a profound example of wardrobe efficiency, I am officially clearing off the dining room table for his display. We must reward their minimalism.
How to tell your parents: You spent my entire youth telling me that working as a team solves more problems than working alone. This 12.2-inch private investigator literally requires two adults combining their brains to function. It is a monument to mature conflict resolution.
How to tell your kids: The green slipper in his box belongs to Chief Akiko, and she uses it on anyone who leaves their shoes in the hallway. If you touch the Doubledriver belt, the red helmet lights will flash four different warnings to report you. Do not test the detective.
This release nails the spirit of the windy city by bundling serious suit engineering with ridiculous show props. If you love Heisei-era heroes, Shotaro and Philip deserve the top shelf.
