It’s rare for a collection to feel like a warm hug, but the upcoming Ichiban Kuji seems intent on just that. This new lottery isn’t simply another lineup; it’s a deliberate curation, a “welcome home” for seasoned island residents.
This release is the Ichiban Kuji Animal Crossing Welcome Back! Happy Memories, presented by BANDAI SPIRITS. It gathers items from previous Animal Crossing lotteries, launching in April 2026. Each draw costs 790 JPY (appx. $5.00 USD).
A Return to Comforts
Returning to your island after a long break can feel daunting, but BANDAI SPIRITS ensures the homecoming is gentle. This latest Ichiban Kuji arrives on the heels of the game’s Ver.3.0 update, making its theme, “Welcome Back! Happy Memories,” exceptionally fitting. It’s a thoughtful nod to both the game’s fresh content and the enduring affection players hold for the franchise.
This collection smartly reintroduces several popular items from past Ichiban Kuji events, including selections from the original “一番賞 動物之森” and the subsequent “一番賞 集合啦！ 動物森友會” series. The decision to bring back these beloved prizes rather than create entirely new ones feels like a confident move, banking on proven successes. It ensures that collectors who might have missed earlier runs now get a second chance at highly sought-after pieces.
Everyday Island Utilities
The A-Prize, the Timmy & Tommy Nook Tissue Box, is a particular standout. At about 25 cm (appx. 9.8 inches), it’s sizable enough to serve as a prominent desktop accessory, featuring the cheerful Nookling brothers peeking over the top. The sculpt captures their playful essence perfectly, providing a daily dose of island charm.
Another functional prize, the B-Prize Nook Stop ATM Piggy Bank, also makes a grand return. This approximately 14 cm (appx. 5.5 inches) replica of the in-game terminal even includes sound effects, adding an interactive layer that many collectors appreciate. It doesn’t just hold spare change; it channels the careful management spirit of your island economy directly onto your shelf. The attention to integrating game mechanics into a physical object here is particularly impressive.
Small Joys, Big Personality
Beyond the larger items, the C-Prize Adorable Mugs, D-Prize Repeated-Digging Shovel Spoons, and E-Prize Small Plates continue the trend of practical, character-rich pieces. The mugs, each about 9 cm (appx. 3.5 inches), feature familiar faces like Isabelle, and the shovel spoons, approximately 11 cm (appx. 4.3 inches), are a playful mimicry of the game’s core tool. These pieces manage to integrate the whimsical Animal Crossing aesthetic into the mundane, making everyday use a pleasant experience.
The F-Prize Zipper Bags and G-Prize Hand Towels further extend the island lifestyle into small necessities. Featuring various villagers and patterns, these items offer a delightful way to carry your belongings or dry your hands, ensuring a touch of Animal Crossing accompanies you throughout the day. They aren’t just decorative; they are truly useful, grounding the fantasy in reality.
The Apex Rewards
The Last One Prize, the Relaxing Desktop Clock, stands at about 15 cm (appx. 5.9 inches) and plays in-game background music. This is a brilliant inclusion; the gentle melodies of Animal Crossing are as iconic as its characters, and having that ambient sound on your desk is a powerful mood setter. It’s a premium piece that elevates the entire lottery’s appeal, promising tranquil moments.
For those chasing the ultimate rarity, the Double Chance prize is a Gulliver Plush (Stranded Ver.), approximately 30 cm (appx. 11.8 inches). This plush, depicting the often-stranded seagull, is a clever nod to one of the game’s more memorable recurring events. It adds a layer of exclusive appeal, making the pursuit of multiple draws feel genuinely rewarding for the dedicated collector.
The Collector’s Survival Guide: How to Justify This
The Collector Math: This isn’t a purchase; it’s an opportunity cost avoidance, given the historical aftermarket premiums these specific Nook Stop ATMs command. Securing a complete collection now, especially with the double chance Gulliver Plush, circumvents exponential costs later. It’s sound financial foresight, truly.
How to tell your wife: Honey, remember how much you love things that bring a little joy to the house, like that nice potted plant? This Ichiban Kuji collection, especially the Timmy & Tommy Nook Tissue Box, is basically a whole garden of joy, only it doesn’t need watering and it holds tissues.
How to tell your parents: You know I’ve always had an eye for unique design and the cultural impact of emerging media. This Animal Crossing collection, featuring pieces like the sound-playing Nook Stop ATM, represents a significant moment in interactive storytelling’s crossover into physical media. It’s a testament to discerning taste, wouldn’t you say?
How to tell your kids: Listen closely, this isn’t just a toy; this is a real-life treasure map to the happiest island ever. Every single one of these items, especially the big Gulliver Plush, helps us remember the secret stories of courage and friendship. We can look, but only grown-ups can play with the sound-making ATM.
This Ichiban Kuji Animal Crossing Welcome Back! Happy Memories collection feels like a curated exhibition of the game’s enduring charm, offering functional delights alongside pure nostalgia. It’s a clever way to re-engage the fanbase, proving that sometimes, the best new pieces are well-loved classics given a second life.
