Look, I’m being totally serious right now. My display shelves are basically a game of high-stakes Tetris at this point. I told myself I was done for the year, but then Mezco Toyz drops the reveal for this One:12 Collective Nightcrawler and suddenly I’m looking at my other figures like, “Okay, who’s going into storage?”
This isn’t just another Kurt Wagner figure; this is the definitive comic-book version I’ve been waiting for. The classic red and black X-Men suit is crafted with that composite fabric material that Mezco is famous for, and the tailoring looks sharp as a razor. But what really gets me is the blue skin texture. They’re using a multi-layered spray technique to give his skin depth, so it’s not just a flat blue plastic look. It actually looks like a living, breathing mutant.
The Bamf Master of My Dreams
Honestly, the accessory count is making my head spin. We’re getting three swappable heads, ranging from a determined battle look to that classic swashbuckling grin. And let’s talk about the three different tails. You can pose them to wrap around objects or just have them lashing out in a fight. I can already see the dynamic poses I’m going to pull off with those 30 points of articulation.
Man, the light-up smoke effect base is the real kicker here. Most companies just give you a plastic cloud, but Mezco is putting LEDs in there to simulate that “BAMF” teleportation glow. Pair that with the four scimitars he comes with, and I’m definitely going to need to clear out a massive corner of my shelf just for his “teleporting through the air” display.
There is no way I’m letting this one pass me by. Even if it means my Avengers have to move to the basement, this guy is taking the throne. The wait until late 2026 is going to be absolutely agonizing, but my shelf is already prepped and ready for the invasion.
