Scheduled for a late May 2025 release, this figure will be available as a prize item in Japan. Standing at approximately 14 cm (Approximately 5.5 inches), Ryu is depicted in a calm yet powerful seated pose, radiating his matured strength and warrior spirit.
A New Chapter for Ryu—Strength Through Mastery!
Fans of the Street Fighter series know Ryu as the wandering martial artist seeking ever-stronger opponents. His style, Ansatsuken, merges traditional techniques with fierce energy. In past iterations, Ryu struggled against the Satsui no Hado (Surge of Murderous Intent), a dark force that once threatened to consume him.
However, Street Fighter 6 presents a new Ryu—one who has conquered his inner demons and now walks the path of true mastery.
?♂️ Key Highlights of the Figure:
✔ Ryu sits with arms confidently crossed, exuding a commanding presence even in repose.
✔ His muscular physique is intricately sculpted, highlighting years of intense training.
✔ The torn edges of his shoulder kesa robe flow naturally, adding dynamic motion even in stillness.
✔ Fine detailing brings out the texture of his zōri sandals, and the tied straps look incredibly realistic.
✔ Fabric textures on the robe and gi pants are carefully replicated, complete with the bold “風林火山” (Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain) kanji on his black belt.
✔ Airbrush shading enhances depth, giving the figure a heavy, grounded feel despite the simple pose.
From my own collecting experience, sitting poses like this one often become surprising favorites. They display a different kind of energy compared to action stances—subtle but immensely powerful. When I first saw the prototype images, I immediately thought: this will be a perfect centerpiece for anyone’s Street Fighter shelf!
